You're welcome. What I'm reminded of with this thread is that solving the irregularities of Windows and Edge is often accomplished by using all of the informed suggestions in a forum, and "beating" Windows and Edge over the head until they comply!

Bummer. Did you include "Windows > Settings > Apps > Startup" and deselect Microsoft Edge?

Hi Ed. Carl gave me further guidance on where to find your option -- an option which, yes, is in part, if not entirely, the solution. I'm not sure if I properly followed the logic of "replies" with my latest post, which is now at the end of the thread (I think - Ha!).
