Troubleshooting website display or functionality issues in Edge on Windows 11
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Since before the latest update to Windows 11, I have been having issues with Bing in Edge.
When I open Edge (Bing is my default Search Engine) I will get "Hmmm... can't reach this page" for Bing.com. Or, if I open a new tab and click the homepage button I will get the same results. Hitting "Refresh" doesn't always fix the issue. It doesn't happen every time, but it is consistent. However, I can open a different website (say Yahoo.com) and it opens immediately.
Microsoft Edge
I also have issues with Bing being excessively slow when doing searches, or it will time out.
Your assistance with addressing this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I am unable to uninstall/repair Microsoft Edge. Windows 11 won't let me.

I followed all these steps and my MSN/Bing browser still gives me the same error! I'm getting really frustrated with bing.
Sorry to hear that. There are many, many people having the same issue. We have tried contacting the support team but they have proven to be less than helpful. I contacted the in August of 2023 with the same issue and received a reply last month saying they were “going to contact me to assist” and I have not heard anything since You can try some of the things that others in this post have tried. I switched to Google.

Bing isn't working (DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN) for me while using Chrome so I came here for a resolution. I thought about deleting my cache but tried Edge instead; still the same error.
Sounds like it's not the cache. Sounds like I should go back to Google since it's working just fine.
Sorry you are having the same problem most of us are having. It is not the cache. Bing stinks and their support team doesn’t help at all. I recommend Google. I will be nice when we can avoid all Microsoft products. They are so focused on AI and layoffs their products are going downhill fast.

Thanks for the advice. I cleared all my history and cookies as well, then of course a restart of the browser. It didn't work at that time, but about a week later the Bing search on my computer and mobile device began working. The points began working correctly around the middle of March 2024 and, so far so good. I think whatever was wrong on their end has been fixed finally.
So glad that worked for you. It does seem like they are getting some bugs fixed. Perhaps there is hope after all. Glad people are still pressuring them and asking for a fix.
