Troubleshooting website display or functionality issues in Edge on Windows 11
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Since before the latest update to Windows 11, I have been having issues with Bing in Edge.
When I open Edge (Bing is my default Search Engine) I will get "Hmmm... can't reach this page" for Bing.com. Or, if I open a new tab and click the homepage button I will get the same results. Hitting "Refresh" doesn't always fix the issue. It doesn't happen every time, but it is consistent. However, I can open a different website (say Yahoo.com) and it opens immediately.
Microsoft Edge
I also have issues with Bing being excessively slow when doing searches, or it will time out.
Your assistance with addressing this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I am unable to uninstall/repair Microsoft Edge. Windows 11 won't let me.

Face it Microsoft. Bing and Edge just don’t work anymore. Poor products with poor results. You’re pushing me back to Google.
It appears that the focus on making rapid changes to accommodate AI and "the New Bing" as well as the lay-offs in January and October have created multiple issues. One of the first rules of business is to keep your current customers satisfied. One of the first rules of programming is complicated algorithms get buggy and changing one thing can create issues in multiple other places. I have no problem with AI but I have to agree things are changing for the worse.
The New Bing and MS have changed for the worse. No more giving to charities.
I am having the same issue and it doesn't matter, if I use Edge with Bing as my search or Bing with the Google browser. Steps already taken to try to resolve the issue:
Disabled AdBlocker
Disabled McAfee web protection
Cleared the cache
Cleared the history
Restarted the computer
And, of course none of those steps resolved the issue. Why, because it's on the Microsoft end that's causing it. Since the latest updates to both the Edge and Bing homepages about a week ago, the issues began. I contacted Microsoft Support and got a reply that they are aware of the issues and are currently trying to correct them. But, it doesn't correct all the search and earn points for a week lost to the issues.
I had the Bing Homepage gray screen issue today using Edge (Windows 10).
Switching my vpn location solved the problem. If you're using a vpn that may be the cause.
Good luck with it.
