MS Edge Version: 114.0.1823.37
For some reason, I no longer have the Web Select option in the right-click context menu. I still have Web Capture, but Web Select is no longer there. Did MS remove this feature, or is it a bug?

Very seriously you sound like a long term google user. And google does that. Microsoft will actually tell you. And Microsoft doesnβt get rid of things people actually use.
I was able to re-enable Web Select function based on a tip I found in a YouTube video It says:
"There is a way to restore the Web Select feature to Edge by simply adding a command to the end of the target in the Edge shortcut's properties. Simply add a space and this text afterwards. You will need to be an admin to save your changes.
--enable-features=msEdgeAreaSelect
You may have to reboot a couple of times for it to start working so be aware of that."
This worked for me!
They are not as bad as Google, but yeah they have their failings on things like this. Hard to please all of us, I guess.
That workaround in the article you linked works great (For now).
I use FF and Edge, I prefer Edge in so many ways... but FF has it's pros.
OK everyone on this thread. There is a small window for change here. The only way to get this feature back before it is gone for good is for everyone to submit feedback. Put simply:
And just type "Bring Web Select Back, this is the reason I use Edge".
Once you have done this come back here and reply, feedback submitted.
Thank you all for your support πππ
