Ok - This morning I opened Edge (w10) and when I clicked the X to close, it would not close. I tried to minimise and click close, still would not work. I can only close it via task manager or rebooting. Nothing has chnaged since last night, so no idea why it has happened. Is there a simple answer as in apps both uninstall and modify are grayed out.
The PC is mine, not a work one and is W10.

PS - Just tried with my w10 laptop, am able to close edge as normal. So have no idea why the desktop is playing up. Is there a solution?

I tried the above. The only one that was turned on was "Use graphics acceleration when available. I turned it off, restarted the browser and it now is working as before.

Thanks Larry! Solved my issue too.
This does not help. When I first open Edge I can immediately close it but as soon as I've looked at anything it then will not close. I've unset all of the settings mentioned above.
This started happening about 1 week ago.
