Edge will not close - any help please?

Ok - This morning I opened Edge (w10) and when I clicked the X to close, it would not close. I tried to minimise and click close, still would not work. I can only close it via task manager or rebooting. Nothing has chnaged since last night, so no idea why it has happened. Is there a simple answer as in apps both uninstall and modify are grayed out.
The PC is mine, not a work one and is W10.

PS - Just tried with my w10 laptop, am able to close edge as normal. So have no idea why the desktop is playing up. Is there a solution?

2025-05-21T13:07:37+00:00 I am already using Chrome all the time, unfortunately microsoft edge often opens automatically when openig up the computer with my password... Would never use Edge.

1 Click three dots at top right
2 Click settings
3 Click System and performance
4 Click System

2025-05-21T14:31:16+00:00 Turning off acceleration worked for me too. Did not have to turn of anything else. This is a very recent problem, so obviously a bug that Microsoft needs to fix.
