Edge will not close - any help please?

Ok - This morning I opened Edge (w10) and when I clicked the X to close, it would not close. I tried to minimise and click close, still would not work. I can only close it via task manager or rebooting. Nothing has chnaged since last night, so no idea why it has happened. Is there a simple answer as in apps both uninstall and modify are grayed out.

The PC is mine, not a work one and is W10.

PS - Just tried with my w10 laptop, am able to close edge as normal. So have no idea why the desktop is playing up. Is there a solution?

    I was having the same problem with Windows 11!

    I did find a solution. I removed the Ad-Blocker and all was well.

    For me, I had to disable each, have it restart then re-enable them. That is when it started working for me.

    This worked for me too. I tried the DISM and SFC solution above first. It had no effect.
