Ok - This morning I opened Edge (w10) and when I clicked the X to close, it would not close. I tried to minimise and click close, still would not work. I can only close it via task manager or rebooting. Nothing has chnaged since last night, so no idea why it has happened. Is there a simple answer as in apps both uninstall and modify are grayed out.
The PC is mine, not a work one and is W10.

PS - Just tried with my w10 laptop, am able to close edge as normal. So have no idea why the desktop is playing up. Is there a solution?

Only started happening today for me so must be related to a MS update.

thank you. That did it for me. And now there is an off-slider for their stupid AI--though I have to keep turning it off.
1 Click three dots at top right
2 Click settings
3 Click System and performance
4 Click System
Turn off the all and restart browser

Well this is strange. Since my original post the problem went and Edge closed ok. I had to reset everything as well. Just now I checked and sure enough the problem is back. So what is causing this? Does anyone know?
