Edge will not close - any help please?

Ok - This morning I opened Edge (w10) and when I clicked the X to close, it would not close. I tried to minimise and click close, still would not work. I can only close it via task manager or rebooting. Nothing has chnaged since last night, so no idea why it has happened. Is there a simple answer as in apps both uninstall and modify are grayed out.

The PC is mine, not a work one and is W10.

Keith

PS - Just tried with my w10 laptop, am able to close edge as normal. So have no idea why the desktop is playing up. Is there a solution?

Hi all, I found this way helpful.
Just go to the Edge browser and type edge://restartThis will restart your browser and you can use as usual. Thank you!

    This worked for me.

After making these changes I had to close out through the task manager. I then re-opened the browser and was able to close the window via the "x".

    Thanks

High helpful information and totatly correct. The only point I will add is that it's the 'User Graphics Accelerator When Available' button which resolves the issue.
