Status Access Violation issues

Issue: Status access violation when watching YouTube videos both normal and live. This also included Facebook live videos. I even discovered that merely having the Youtube video paused but the tab open would after some time (could be a few seconds to a few minutes) the status access violation would pop up.

I believe I have found a resolution after countless hours of research and suffering. At this point, I have tried nearly all of the common fixes that pop up online concerning fixing this issue on Edge including some of the more unorthodox fixes like disabling hardware acceleration in Edge, creating a new profile, trying the BETA version of Edge, updating bios, running scannow in command prompt, and updating RAM firmware.

What I did to fix the issue was disable XMP in my bios and then manually select the RAM clock speed while leaving everything else in auto. I am using an ASUS motherboard. I checked the manual clock speed I set in bios using Task Manager, clicking on performance and then memory just to verify that I am still using the faster clock speed. It certainly seems in my case that XMP was the culprit for whatever reason. Maybe Microsoft can look into it and introduce a fix.

So far, it has been a few hours of watching videos on YouTube and I have not received another status access violation. Hopefully, if you are suffering from this issue this fixes your problem. Happy streaming!

I'm sorry I'm a bit late, unfortunately none of the methods mentioned above worked, I think you can try the following (if your problem persists):

1: Disable Renderer Code Integrity 

　　Google recently enabled renderer code integrity, and other Chromium browsers were quick to adopt it. This integrity is responsible for two things - validating all code loaded by a web page and allowing only signed code to proceed. However, in some cases, it can trigger false positives and prevent the rendering of code from trusted sites. So, if you now believe this to be the case, then consider disabling renderer code integrity.

　　Here are the steps to disable renderer code integrity in Edge browser:

• Select the desktop shortcut link for Microsoft Edge.
• Right-click on the context menu and select Properties.
• Switch to the Shortcuts tab and add the following string to the end of the existing target field:

　　--disable-features=RendererCodeIntegrity

...

...

Your target field should now look something like the following: 

"C:\Program Files (x86) \Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" - disable-features=RendererCodeIntegrity

• Click Apply Then Okay.
• Use this shortcut to launch the browser.

Now try to load the page where you are experiencing access conflict issues. Disabling code integrity may have resolved the issue.

2: Manual execution by registry editor

If you wish to perform this task manually using the Registry Editor, you can follow the steps below: 

• Start the Registry Editor in your Windows operating system.
• Navigate to the Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge location.
• Create a new DWORD (32-bit) value.
• name the file RendererCodeIntegrityEnabled and assign 0 Value data to it.
• Hit the OK command button to save.
• Disabling Renderer Code Integrity may prove to be a bit risky as you are turning off an important security feature. Therefore, when this feature is disabled, make sure that you do not visit any non-secure sites, such as those still following HTTP or those without a valid SSL certificate. It can help fix some problems, however, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully.
