Hello, i am getting Status_Access_Violation while watching youtube, twitch and browsing other sites on windows 11.
I reinstalled windows multiple times, reinstalled edge and chrome, cleared and reset browsers, deleted all cookies/history, reset flags, deleted all extensions, up to date on browsers, changed browser name extensions, text cursor indicator is off, did sfc /scannow, disabled hardware acceleration, happens with non updated drivers and updated drivers

FYI that this is not just a Windows 11 issue. I am running Windows 10 Pro.
It's possible that it's worse or more prevalent in Windows 11.
Microsoft really needs to fix this. I've tried everything short of replacing hardware. I have multiple laptops and desktops with this issue. I'm not wasting money because of Microsoft being incompetent. I'll just move to an Apple product, even though I can't stand Apple.
However, I'm also in charge of IT at my work and I don't really have a choice, but to use Windows, so this needs to be resolved NOW.
TL; DR: The CPU and motherboard is causing the issue. Try resetting the TPM Key for your CPU settings in your BIOS first, else update your motherboard to the latest BIOS firmware.
If both fail, the CPU is faulty will need to be replaced.
I'm back in this thread and so far, I think I found my issue: It was my CPU and motherboard that were giving these random codes this whole time. I used a Ryzen 5 5600X for about a year before going from Windows 10 to 11. Since then, I ran into this Status Access Violation with all possible solutions - clearing cache, using different ram sticks, disabling browser extensions, registry - nothing has worked for months.
Until 2 weeks ago, I upgraded from 5600X to 5800X3D because I wanted more performance and consistency out of my PC for Sim Racing in Virtual Reality without needing to buy a new graphics card. When I installed the new CPU, the boot screen posted a message saying something about the new TPM Key needing to be registered because of a completely new CPU installed. After flashing my BIOS firmware and recreating my usual profile, I have not run into any issues with "Status Access Violation" for the past two weeks and the headache and fear that YouTube would crash on me is gone now.
No idea why Windows 11 became so sensitive about all this and why Microsoft hasn't done anything about it, but there we have it. If you're still running into this problem, The TPM Key for your CPU might just be the culprit.
My current PC specs for anyone curious:
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D
Motherboard: Asus ROG CROSSHAIR VIII Hero
Memory: 32GB (16 x 2) 3200MHz
GPU: Asus TUF RTX 3070 TI
Edit: Apparently, resetting TPM can be done inside Windows already - Trusted Platform Module: How do I reset it? - Microsoft Community, but just in case, try resetting from the BIOS.
When I saw your post, I was hopeful... Over the course of several hours I tried several permutations of settings related to RAM auto, manual, XMP I, XMP II, and other RAM and CPU auto / AI options... And nothing seemed to have any noticeable impact.
I am so exasperated with this issue. I finally switched from Chrome to Edge at work (Mac Book Pro) earlier this year ... and I have been an evangelist ever since because it is such a better implementation of Chromium.
However, on my new personal computer (ASUS ROG Strix z690-E, Intel i9-13900K, Corsair Vengeance 64gb DDR5, GeForce RTX 3070 TI)... I have consistently experienced this Status_Access_Violation. Even in trying to write this reply, it happened several times... to the point that I am now composing this in Notepad so I can copy and paste it into this forum reply ... so I don't lose the text :-(
I have invested dozens of hours in dozens of increasingly obscure fixes... and nothing works. I am to the point now where it seems my only solution is to begrudgingly go back to Chrome.
