Status Access Violation issues

13th & 14th Gen seems to be one of the worst silicone lotteries...

And then motherboard manufacturers pushed the limits (with Intel's blessing until the problems started).

I believe this has caused silicone degradation to appear rapidly on some of these chips which can't fixed by some bios tweaks and will only get worse over time.

If you can beg, borrow or steal a new chip to test you may find all your weird issues magically disappear.

Intel sent me a new chip and like magic everything runs as expected even under 'ASUS optimised' bios profiles (I'm running Intel performance profile now as I don't want the hassle of tearing down this hard line water cooled system again to RMA.

I have reached out to Intel to try and find out what was wrong with the old chip but have not received a response so far.

Don't be me, don't waste countless hours troubleshooting RAM (2x48GB is a 17hour test...), don't swap out your NVMe drives, don't reinstall windows half a dozen times, don't spend hours in the bios... Swap and test that CPU.

Intel knows something is going on here which is why they've released the statement almost throwing motherboard partners under the bus. They've relied on the tweaks motherboard vendors make to the bios settings to reach advertised clock speeds for years and now it's gone too far it's a problem for them.

I'm pretty sure this is an Intel issue and not a Microsoft issue. Everyone who has fixed it has done so by replacing the CPU.

i9 13900kf and replaced it with same. only way i figured it out was from these posts you can try limiting cores but i just decided to replace cpu as a whole.

browser occasionally displays a status_access_violation error. - Intel Community -doubt intel will replace it unless your persistent

seems like quite a few i9 13900 are affected

I hope you are able to find a fix. Ever since I turned off the AI overclocking feature in bios (cpu over clocking) I haven’t had any more issues

Well, the issue is back. Issue returned after watching a live video on Facebook. Back to square one…
