I have a problem with printing from the latest version of Microsoft Edge. When I select some text on the browser and choose Print → 'Save As Pdf', the download starts but never finishes. How can I fix this? Is this a common issue for all the users of the latest version of Edge?

I have tried restating the PC, Resetting the browser, stopping all the extension etc. to fix it. but it doesn't work? Should I switch to Chrome?

You have to copy/paste the file and then rename it. Then you can cancel the download and it will remove the .crdownload file.

"Microsoft Print to PDF" as a workaround solution isnt ideal at all. It changes the format and changes the filename

I have found a fix/workaround in copying and renaming the CRDOWNLOAD file from xxx.crdownload to xxx.pdf. This seems to work and keeps it searchable.

Our users are also affected by this bug. After finding the "Microsoft Print to PDF" workaround independently, I found this thread.

It would be nice for Microsoft to acknowledge that this is an issue. I feel that's the first step towards resolving the issue.
