I have a problem with printing from the latest version of Microsoft Edge. When I select some text on the browser and choose Print → 'Save As Pdf', the download starts but never finishes. How can I fix this? Is this a common issue for all the users of the latest version of Edge?
I have tried restating the PC, Resetting the browser, stopping all the extension etc. to fix it. but it doesn't work? Should I switch to Chrome?

Hey Tony,
Yeah I got the same result (CRDOWNLOAD) file type when I tried the "Save as PDF" option, but, when I used the "Microsoft Print to PDF" did in fact save a the regular PDF file.
Tony this is typical Micro$oft BS. For years they have been doing this ...something breaks in their software and it can take ages before they fix or like their Office Suite product (Excel, Word, Access etc.) they just don't bother and the next thing they do is just release a new version for you to buy.
I've been working with their software for years. Nothing new with this!!!
May have to move back to Google Chrome if this continues.
Same issue here must be a bug in the latest version as "Save to PDF" was just working fine last week.
Leave it to Microsoft to screw things up all the time
Use "Microsoft Print to PDF" Instead until they fix the issue. This workaround worked as expected.
It's the same problem for me with Microsoft Edge Version Version 120.0.2210.61 (Official build) (64-bit) running under Windows 11 Pro 64-bit Version 23H2, Build 22631.2792. For me the problem started on December 7, 2023 with the installation of the update to Microsoft Edge referred to above.
The best solution turned out to be a return to running Google Chrome while waiting for Microsoft to come up with a fix.
There will be a fix, right?
I can replicate this issue across several clients and environments. It's a bug.
Same issue. I've tried all the fixes, but nothing works. It started this morning 12/11/2023. This needs to be fixed or we need a real answer as this seems to be a bug due to a recent update. Also, using Microsoft print to PDF is useless as it either flattens the pdf or reformats the text boxes to be images rather than text. This is a no go if you want to search through the pdf or copy paste anything out of a pdf.
