I have a problem with printing from the latest version of Microsoft Edge. When I select some text on the browser and choose Print → 'Save As Pdf', the download starts but never finishes. How can I fix this? Is this a common issue for all the users of the latest version of Edge?

I have tried restating the PC, Resetting the browser, stopping all the extension etc. to fix it. but it doesn't work? Should I switch to Chrome?

    YES! PROBLEM SOLVED!

    Update 120.0.2210.77 (Official Build) (64-bit).

I think this issue can now be "closed"!

Microsoft Print to PDF does save everything in the page as picture, not as text/pricture, so it is not useful for example when you need to select text on the resultant file.

Copy the .crdownload file and paste it. After that you can rename the copy. Do not forget to change the .crdownliad extension to .pdf too..

Somebody posted here that the Edge update that will land tomorrow, Dec 15, will have this fixed. Unfortunately I can't find that post any longer.

Thanks! This works for me while Microsoft admits this is a bug and then solves it.

I have the same issue as well and it started about 2 days ago (Dec 11, 2023).

    Same build as others.

Agree with some that the output file from Microsoft Print to PDF is NOT as good as Save as PDF.

    2 additional observations:

    1. The same function does not work on the New Outlook for Windows.
    2. I am able to use Save as PDF function with other browser like Chrome and Firefox.

hope there will be a fix very soon as I do agree that Save as PDF is the best way to make PDF (with embedded links and text recognized).
