I get the pop-up that says " iCloud encountered an error connecting to the server ". However, if I connect to a mobile hotspot, iCloud works without any issue on Edge! Observations I am able to access iCloud through my iOS device (iPhone) connected to the same high-speed broadband Wifi connection. iCloud.com is accessible on Edge browser only if my PC is connected to the internet via a mobile (4G/5G) hotspot connection. The issue does not occur at all on Firefox (irrespective of the connection mode)! Any clues on how to solve this issue? Nope! Cleared all cache, everything, rebooted, enabled IPv6 on my Win 11 Acer Predator laptop and used https://www.icloud.com in Edge. No go! This is a deeper thing. Win 10 works fine.

Yep have IPv6 on, but I’m on Windows 10 Home. However I had a family member try it as well, iCloud.com didnt work, but when he did https://www. It worked. I’m using chrome too. Haven’t tried other browsers yet. But I’m assuming it’s a DNS issue. Try clearing your cache / browser history and try again. Or restart your computer. Maybe a clean slate on your browser with “www.” Will work.

This is going to sound goofy, but I found the solution. DO NOT USE icloud.com or even https://icloud.com but use https://www.icloud.com/ - I found once I did the www after the https it worked. Why? Probably a DNS issue regarding the security and connectivity of icloud (for whatever reason). Why it was working 2 weeks ago, and then not work? No clue. But yea. Now iCloud works on my systems again.

I'm just here to confirm that disabling IPv6 helped me resolve this issue.

Alternatively, switching to Google Public DNS also resolved the issue as per users on Reddit. To know step-by-step instruction to switch to Google Public DNS check out this guide -- <link removed>
