[SOLVED] Can't login on Edge anymore! (Sync issue)

PLEASE READ UPDATES (4) BELOW - ISSUE SOLVED

Original Message:

Already hit restore on windows' applications and restarted my pc, but every time I open Microsoft Edge now, on the top right corner it says my account is not logged in. And when I try to do it, the pop-up window says it's loading and then just turns to all white.

Anyone can help me please? Don't want to lose my favourites, passwords and workspaces ;_;

UPDATE 21 March:

  1. already deleted all cookies
  2. already confirmed if it was an issue with the Wi-Fi
  3. already hit «repair» twice on the program
  4. already tried to add a new account (didn't work cause the issue with the popup to login is the same)
  5. already disabled all extensions and tried to login again after that
  6. my account is not blocked - in fact I can login on Microsoft with it on my phone and website (otherwise I wouldn't be able to post this question). The issue is only with logging in on the Edge browser;
  7. already deleted and reinstalled Edge.

And yes, I restarted my pc every time I tried something. What else can I do? I need to access my Edge Workspaces!

UPDATE 24th March:

  • multiple people have replied with the same issue and it seems to be some kind of bug that happened after last update KB5035853.
  • still no workaround or any feedback.
  • this issue was also posted on techcommunity and no answers to this date.
  • I am using Windows 10 Home version 22H2, with Edge version: 123.0.2420.53 (64 bits) [also trying on Edge Beta version: 123.0.2420.53]

UPDATE 25TH MARCH

  • Still waiting on confirmation from the Tech Community but it seems like I ran out of workarounds.
  • and yeah, no 3rd party issues as well. All checked and updated.
  • So if you are experiencing the same, please report the issue with as much as detail as possible on Help > Send (Alt + Shift + I) after following all workarounds as well;
  • If in the meanwhile anyone finds a solution, please share it. I would greatly appreciate it as my job is depending on it. Thank you!

UPDATE 10 APRIL:

Finally got a hold on https://support.microsoft.com/, initiated a live chat with support, and they had to install Install Quick Assist (Install Quick Assist - Microsoft Support) and they had to enter my PC and check what was wrong. They had no idea what was happening at the time (this all happened a few weeks ago - sorry for the late reply ut I had a lot of work delayed due to this error) and reinstalled Windows = issue solved.

The following day however, windows asked me to update again and the issue returned ahahahaha but I removed it, and then the following system updates didn't carry that sign in issue anymore.

Thank you all for your help and support during these VERY STRESSFUL DAYS! Hope the issue got solved for everyone!

    Hello Johann, thank you so much for your reply. I got a bit frustrated yesterday because I lost a day's work and nothing seemed to work.

    I tried what you suggested and nothing new happened. I was able to delete every file, restarted the pc and still nothing.

    Then I decided to logoff on Edge, because just like yesterday, my account appeared on the top right corner and on settings > accounts - it was just not synchronizing. But now it got worse, because I don't even have my favourites anymore (image 2).

    Image 1 - this is the situation I tried to describe, on Edge Beta [Microsoft Edge Version 123.0.2420.53 beta (64 bits)]

    Image 2 - nd this is now my situation on Edge where I can't even have access to my favourites and all the other info that was saved. [Microsoft Edge Version 122.0.2365.92 (64 bits)]

    Image 3 - the situation at Program files (x86) > Microsoft. Deleted what you suggested and only Edge Update and Edge WebView stayed.

    And just in case, I am using Windows 10 Home, Version 22H2.

    Thank you again and in case you can't help me, please ask someone else. I lost today's work as well. Can't loose tomorrow too. Thank you!

    Hello,

    Thank you for using Microsoft products and posting to the community.

    Based on the description, please try installing one of the Insider versions of Edge, and log in. Can you log into your Microsoft account?

    If you can, there is an issue with the Edge files on your system, and you can try reinstalling the Edge browser (it does not affect your profile).

    To do so, please download the regular version of Edge, then go to file explorer->This PC->C drive->Program files (x86)->Microsoft, and delete the "Edge" and "EdgeCore" folders. If there are files you cannot delete, please skip them. After deletion, use the Edge installer from earlier to reinstall Edge, and see whether the issue persists.

    Please feel free to let me know how it goes.

    Hello,

    I have the same issue with my browser (and also Personal Office 365 on Windows Device). When I am trying to sign-in the SSO panel is in loading state but then it is changing to blank and nothing happens. With Office 365 I can not login to my account because of the same reason. There is no redirection or any error message in the panel. I have tried with the Insider Version of Edge but there was the same problem. I do not have any issues to log in on mobile device to my account.

    Im running on:
    Windows 11 Pro 23H2 22631.3296
    Edge 122.0.2365.92
