Why are links in emails automatically opening in Edge, when all other browsers have been uninstalled/deleted. I haven't changed anything so what is going on?

Having changed nothing on PC settings, why all of a sudden, are links from Outlook emails automatically opening in Edge.

I have deleted all but Google Chrome (cant seem to delete Edge), which is my default browser so nothing should be opening in any other browser, including Edge.

I do NOT want to use Edge and seems like it is choosing to open without me allowing, which surely is an inappropriate use of Microsofts abilities..

Are you experiencing this while using your Outlook desktop app? Also, did this happen after an update? It might have been changed to Microsoft Edge instead of your default browser. To change this, go to File > Options > Advanced > File and browser preferences and select your preferred browser.

So Jen did not make it very clear...this is for people using Outlook for mail. Has to be followed in your Outlook program.

It's on the menu bar in Outlook... File, Home, Send/Receive/Folder, View, Help Like it is in all MS desktop programs.
