Can't Open Edge in High Sierra

Just this morning I couldn't open Edge in High Sierra OS on a mac. I realized it wouldn't update any more but never saw a warning it would quit working all together! I need to get my bookmarks. How can I get them?

Maybe you gave warning it would quit working altogether, but I never saw it, very frustrating and time wasting!

I see that you have installed an older version of Edge an that is working for you.

Thanks that was a great help!

Now I am making a backup of all my bookmarks in all the browsers and perhaps logging in on each one to sync.

Later in the day, I downloaded an older version of Edge and am able to get in it.

I tried disabling the automatic updater by removing the "Edge Updater folder" from Library> Application Support> Microsoft> EdgeUpdater. So far so good. If that doesnt work I need another way to disable the updater....

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Do you have Opera on your Mac?

If you do, try importin your bookmarks into Opera from Edge using these steps.

Type ⌘ + P in the Opera browser.

Below Default Browser, click the Import Bookmarks and Settings button.

In there, you should be able to select Edge and click Import.
