It seems ever since my laptop updated to Windows 11, I get this error for trying to access Costco or Lego.

I had a microsoft update yesterday and now I am getting an "access denied" error message by lowes, costco home depot and others.

You don't have permission to access "http://www.costco.com/" on this server.

It is driving me crazy and tempted to get a new laptop since it is over 4 years old.

I was getting the same errors on some shopping sites, Argos etc. where I could browse for a few minutes but sort filters weren't working and after about 7 or clicks the Akamai error appears and access to the site is blocked until I open it in a new tab.

On the same system I could run Chrome browser without any problems. In the end I turned off some sidebar functionality like Co-Pilot and anything else MS based. I also disabled Startup Boost and run exytensions when browser is closed and finally disabled the Refined Microsoft Terams extension.

After doing all of the above the site worked correctly again. Sort filters worked an clicking on products to get details and add them to the cart/basket worked without problem again.

I can't be bothered individually turning things back on to see which thing caused the problem as I can live without the things I disabled.

This issue did not occur until after the last update to Edge went in about a week ago. Sites that I have been going to for years and even last week, I am not able to access.

What changes were made to Edge that is causing these errors. Please stop providing the generic answers of the website is not valid or it is the companies website. Please go back and see what updates were made that is causing this problem and not allowing websites to connect or be blocked.

Yeah it sounds like it's specific to that machine. But that's super interesting that the VPN doesn't help. I don't think I've seen other people having that problem - so not sure how to help.

Maybe check your DNS or Proxy settings on that device and see how it differs with other devices?

If you put that laptop on a hotspot/different wifi - do the sites work?

I am being denied access to these sites on Google Chrome as well, phone and desktop.
