Right clicking on Edge, menu appears on different screen, same happens for context menu

I too am seeing this same problem on Edge 135.0.3179.54. Lowering the right most screen (my laptop) helps when clicking on menus at the very top of edge or right clicking near the top in edge. But once I move down the screen a bit, if I'm any more than halfway to the right, the right click menu appears on the 3rd monitor (laptop). This is annoying when doing spell check for example.

This does not happen in Firefox.

Not sure about Chrome, I ditched them when they got rid of certain plugin support like ublock origin.

But this also happens in Brave which like Edge is also Chromium based.

Like many here, setting the laptop to 100% to match the two external monitors is not a good solution. While this works with the right click pop up menu alignment, the text on the laptop screen is just too small to comfortably read. I like to keep either Outlook or Teams maximized on that screen which frees up my other two monitors for work.

At the time I posted the reply earlier - I was seeing the issue on ALL browsers - Edge / Chrome / Firefox.

However, the most recent Windows update seems to have fixed this - I do not see this now. I hope this will be a permanent fix!

Oh ok we did not approve 2025-04 update yet because there was an issue about it causing random BSOD's on Windows 11 24H2. Has that been resolved?

I thought this was fixed but now I see it happening again - since this is recurring - I guess this must be a very difficult fix for Microsoft!

This is a frustrating issue!! I agree that setting all monitors, including your laptop, to the same SCALE resolves the issue BUT the RESOLUTION doesn't seem to have to be the same.

The recommended SCALE for my monitors is 100% and my laptop is 150%. Setting them at 150% makes the monitors too big and setting them to 100% makes the laptop very small! I am old and wear bifocals!!

The RESOLUTION for my monitors is 1920x1080 (16:9) and my laptop is 2560x1600 (4:3). So, I set the scale to 100% on all of them and changed my laptop resolution to 1920x1200 (4:3). This increased my icons and font on the laptop to a better size.

The smaller you go on the resolution, the larger the icons and font on your laptop. Just keep the same ratio as your laptop native display or the desktop will not go all the way to the edge of your screen area.

The context menu/settings menu are still opening on the same screen as the source window!
