Right clicking on Edge, menu appears on different screen, same happens for context menu

Oh ok we did not approve 2025-04 update yet because there was an issue about it causing random BSOD's on Windows 11 24H2. Has that been resolved?

User impactSome users reported a blue screen error after installing the Windows 2025 March preview update or April security update.

At the time I posted the reply earlier - I was seeing the issue on ALL browsers - Edge / Chrome / Firefox.

However, the most recent Windows update seems to have fixed this - I do not see this now. I hope this will be a permanent fix!

I too am seeing this same problem on Edge 135.0.3179.54. Lowering the right most screen (my laptop) helps when clicking on menus at the very top of edge or right clicking near the top in edge. But once I move down the screen a bit, if I'm any more than halfway to the right, the right click menu appears on the 3rd monitor (laptop). This is annoying when doing spell check for example.

This does not happen in Firefox.

Not sure about Chrome, I ditched them when they got rid of certain plugin support like ublock origin.

But this also happens in Brave which like Edge is also Chromium based.

Like many here, setting the laptop to 100% to match the two external monitors is not a good solution. While this works with the right click pop up menu alignment, the text on the laptop screen is just too small to comfortably read. I like to keep either Outlook or Teams maximized on that screen which frees up my other two monitors for work.

I noticed that this occured a while ago AFTER installing the latest Windows Update. The next update fixed this (unfortunately - I have not kept track of the KB numbers). Right after that the next update introduced this again which continues till date.

I don't understand - why this is not fixed - how many people need to complain before this becomes a priority - it is a complete waste of time to have look for solutions and then being told to set the scale to 100% which will not work when the laptop display resolution is very high and the size not too large.

So, because one of my screens is a 15.6" 4k laptop, I cannot set the scaling the same as all the other displays. I would not be able to see anything on it.

BUT I did learn that Chrome suffers this same defect. It isn't specific to edge. So it is probably something in the chromium engine itself.
