Full page McDonalds ads keep popping up when I open a page from the main Edge screen. how can I get this to stop. I've tried everything that has been suggested online. Still no dice.

Just finished with MS Technical Support chat today, after trying to find issue yesterday as well. The answer I got was that its certain websites generating the ad, even though it only occurs on Edge and no other web browser. It was made clear it's not a MS generated ad, but a website sourced ad.

A recommendation was made to identify the website when it occurs and block those sites in Edge settings.

These same possibly-malicious fullscreen McDonald's ads that keep appearing in Chrome, too, so this is not just an Edge problem. I don't even use Edge and came here because I was searching for a solution to this.

These same ads are certainly a problem in Chrome, as well as Edge. I've only begun noticing them recently, in Chrome on WIndows and Android.

Since I don't use Chrome much, I haven't seen it elsewhere. Until today! I often use Opera to avoid the annoying glut of ads on most websites and then it popped up today on a website in that browser. So, there it is, seems no web browser is immune from this McDonalds ad infestation.

Chrome and Firefox do it, too
