Full page McDonalds ads keep popping up when I open a page from the main Edge screen. how can I get this to stop. I've tried everything that has been suggested online. Still no dice.

Received a McDonalds reply from a different person today....

"Thank you for taking the time to contact McDonald's regarding our website, www.mcdonalds.com. We always appreciate hearing from our customers. We apologize that the information you found posted on McDonald's website was incomplete or incorrect. **** Please know your comments have been shared with our Web Development Team. I am certain they will further investigate and take corrective action. Again, thank you for contacting McDonald's. Sincerely,"

I truly believe they are the biggest group of idiots allowed on the internet!

What leaves me gobsmacked here is, McD's continuing to point a finger at a browser's settings. OR at Users from not having those settings On, already. There latter being borderline insulting. It has been proven AND shown to McD's that some have this behaviour FROM McD's, in spite of those settings being "Blocked", ALREADY❗

The caveat here is they had already been told this (your reply, below) initially in the (your) original communication to them about this. Ignored then and now, still❗😡

To this, I emailed back my reply...."

My Popup blocker is on and has been on*. About a month ago, Microsoft support was contacted and investigated, the determination was that it was* generated from McDonalds to advertise on supporting web sites.

Sent another message to McDonalds recently, due to another ill-timed popup leaving me steaming mad, and this is the reply received....

There is even a thread dedicated to this very issue and a read through will clearly show nothing can be done from the end users to directly stop this problem.  Full page McDonalds ads keep popping up when I open a page from the - Microsoft CommunityEfforts have been tried for months now and as I stated previously in a message to McDonalds, the desired intent of drawing customers attention to the app may have the wrong effect and create an unfriendly image of the brand."

The only recommendation I can give to those reading this and looking for answers is to go to the McDonalds website, click on 'Contact Us' and click on the 'Feedback' tab and then fill in the requested information. They may not do anything if only one or two people report this issue, but dozens or hundreds report this, then it may draw the attention it needs to be addressed.

all it has done for mickey D is make me determined to never go to mcdonalds again.

I have been plagued with this on my work laptop. Believe me, they have the security screws turned down tight.

I purchased a new personal laptop last week and within 10 minutes on the MS start page, it was popping up.
