MSN Weather E-tree level 10 now requires 50,000 points as compared to earlier of 10,000?

I noticed that my tree was not leveling up at the usual speed. Upon checking the "certificates" (shows the trees planted so far and the progress of the current one), I was astonished to find that goal was now 50000 points. My status: 6090/50000 Level 6 which otherwise would have been 6090/10000 Level 9.

I see no official communication from Microsoft about this. Although, the E-tree app on the Edge sidebar still behaves as earlier.

    Same here after 34th tree, point requirements shot to 50,000

    It happened to me when I completed my 63rd tree. I have it on 4 devices so I can complete the energy tasks from home, work or on the go. On Saturday the etree icon disappeared from my iphone, that I used edge to access it from. I tried restarting it and even downloaded msn weather. The only platform it is working on is the computer. I haven't checked the computer at work yet. Just a bit frustrating. I will continue I don't care how many points it takes, if they are still planting after hitting their goal.

    I'm happy to share some good news. I installed MSN weather app on my android phone and logged in to my account. Then everything worked out. I got 36 trees now (two more than before).

    But I'm still confused. The computer page says I need 50,000 points, but the android app says 10,000. I think I'll stick to the android app for now until they fix it.

    I have the exact same issue! I sent a Support Ticket and just got the scripted autoresponse back and have heard nothing further. It's discouraging to take so long to hit 50,000, so if that is the case my time will be better spent doing something else.
