MSN Weather E-tree level 10 now requires 50,000 points as compared to earlier of 10,000?

I noticed that my tree was not leveling up at the usual speed. Upon checking the "certificates" (shows the trees planted so far and the progress of the current one), I was astonished to find that goal was now 50000 points. My status: 6090/50000 Level 6 which otherwise would have been 6090/10000 Level 9.

I see no official communication from Microsoft about this. Although, the E-tree app on the Edge sidebar still behaves as earlier.

    Below is in the e-tree point reward system listed under FAQ for E-tree. I was wonderting the same also and came across this.

    When you reach 10,000 points (water or energy points, or combined), a real tree will be planted in Kenya. After each tree is planted, your points will restart at zero. You need to earn 20,000 points to plant your second tree, 30,000 points to plant a third tree, 40,000 points to plant a fourth tree, and 50,000 points to plant a fifth tree. For each subsequent tree after the fifth tree, you'll need to earn 50,000 points.

    Way to long. It'd be nice to know when our batches of trees (Mangrooves in Kenya) actually get planted or an estimated plant date.
