Sometimes, Edge, rather than directing me to the URL or file I want to access, will produce a site named "ShellPage" from the url edgeservices.bing.com that says "just a moment".

We released version 112.0.1722.58 today, which addresses this issue for Family Safety users. To ensure that you have the latest version, you can manually check for updates by following the steps below.
This seems to be a problem on child accounts under Microsoft family features after the implementation of the bing chatbot. It seems there is a webpage that is unable to function properly with Microsoft Family features, and I am hoping they will resolve it soon. I saw elsewhere to disable "startup boost" and "Continue running background extensions and apps when Microsoft Edge is closed," both found in the settings panel under system and performance. Then run the command: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --disable-features=msUndersideButton in your command prompt. This fix did not work for me, but maybe it'll work for you. In the meantime, just open a new tab and reopen whatever hyperlink you were trying to access. The only two things that seem to trigger this webpage are the startup of the browser and clicking the bing chatbot icon in the top-right corner of your screen
This is so dumb i try and open a link and it just goes to shellpage and never loads
I dont like this new upgrade because its so annoying every time it pops up like it doesn't even work for me and i dont even need it but i can't get rid of it so please get rid of this stupid non working "shellpage" because i don't think anyone needs this right now
