Sometimes, Edge, rather than directing me to the URL or file I want to access, will produce a site named "ShellPage" from the url edgeservices.bing.com that says "just a moment".

We released version 112.0.1722.58 today, which addresses this issue for Family Safety users. To ensure that you have the latest version, you can manually check for updates by following the steps below.

  1. Click on the three dots menu button.
  2. Go to Help and feedback.
  3. Click on About Microsoft Edge.

    Whenever edge opens it automatically loads and replaces whatever website I'm on. Seems like an edge update page that just couldn't load for some reason. Disabling Bing chat and side bar didn't do anything at all.

    I am having this same problem on my child's account. He only uses Edge and not Chrome. He was so upset because he thought he accidentally downloaded a virus. Please fix this awful edgeservices.bing issue. We'll be going to Chrome for now.

    He's also on Version 112.0.1722.39

    hey, cant you just like remove the shellpage? if there is no shellpage, how will it pop up?

    Version 112.0.1722.39 is the version I have that is causing the problem. The problem began when Edge autoupdated.
