Edge is sharing Chrome site logins. How do I prevent this?

You know what the crux of the problem is? I do; it's the intrusive policies of Microsoft. Why is this feature even turned on by default. Edge is literally pulling information from an account that isn't registered as a profile on ANYTHING with a Microsoft label. It's pulling information from a private Google account in which I have to provide administrative credentials to personally view the passwords saved there and here is Edge just pulling it out of thin air and transmitting login information on a browser I never gave permission to send. Its like Edge is acting like a keylogger. How many other websites are you transmitting my data to without my permission?

I have similar experiences with Edge, on site logins, open Edge and find that I am logged on in Google with other account I neve used in Edge.

Then I find out that all passwords was synchronized from Chrome, manually deleted all accounts. After a day Find out that still Edge use Chrome information, site logins etc.

I check all settings in Edge, and find new settings that wasn't exist before this issue.

Import browser data on each launch

I did not agree or set settings during installation on import or seamless use of Chrome and Edge, I use it for different tasks.

It seams Microsoft is forcing users to use Edge in such not ordinary way.

Chrome and Edge are current release channel versions.

Correct. I can see that like you are showing. Edge still uses Chrome logins, that does not prevent Edge from using Chrome sessions.

Of course I restarted everything. The only way to stop that behaviour is to delete Edge I think.

I manage some websites an need a login in Edge and another in Chrome. Not possible anymore.

I think I have found a solution.

You can once go to this page and turn off the feature.

And can also turn off from other browsers from here:

Somehow Edge has pirated the data (or synced) from chrome?

There is a new option: Import data from Chrome on every launch. Some users with Chrome installed have found that this is enabled by default, which may be the cause of the behaviour you're seeing. Open ⋯ (Settings and more) > Settings > Profiles > Import browser data to find the option and configure it to your liking.

[I don't have any other browsers installed, so I don't see this option and can't tell you precisely where to find it - sorry!]
