Edge is sharing Chrome site logins. How do I prevent this?

Hello,

I have a site where I have two accounts. I used to be able to have one of them logged in with Edge and one with Chrome, then by running the right browser, I could be logged in with the right profile.

Now, Edge seems to have started copying the login across from Chrome, i.e. I can't separate them. Logging in on Chrome logs in with the same credentials on Edge which isn't what I want.

How do I turn this off so that each browser can log in with different credentials and stay logged in with those credentials? I've found lots of stuff about syncing my MS account across devices, but this is on one single device and two browsers that I want to be completely unrelated.

    Correct. I can see that like you are showing. Edge still uses Chrome logins, that does not prevent Edge from using Chrome sessions.

    Of course I restarted everything. The only way to stop that behaviour is to delete Edge I think.

    I manage some websites an need a login in Edge and another in Chrome. Not possible anymore.

    This is a humongous problem and deleting the cache does not solve it. Edge is sharing session info with Chrome and, if this cannot be fixed, I can't use Edge. This is my core use case for Edge and this kind of surprise behavior is intolerable.

    This is happening for me too. Windows 11, Edge updated or something, and now any website I am logged into in Chrome, I am automatically logged into on Edge. Also, if I log out of a website in Edge it logs me out in Chrome. The two browsers should work independently of each other. It used to work this way on my PC and works this way on my work PC.

    The reason for two independent browsers is if you have two separate log ins for the same sight and want to be logged in at the same time. For example, I have several business logins at the same bank and sometimes I need to look at both businesses' data at the same time. I can do this at work by signing into one on Chrome and the other on Edge. However, I cannot do this now on my home office PC that runs Windows 11 and some update to Edge.
