Troubleshooting website display or functionality issues in Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I am discouraged that this problem has not been fixed after several months. I am a long-time a Netflix subscriber. Since I upgraded a few months ago to the new Edge Chromium browser, Netflix always returns error code D7353-5101. Refreshing the browser screen always allows Netflix to play normally. Even so, it is a damned nuisance. Netflix support says that Netflix does not support the Edge chromium browser, and recommends using Google Chrome or Firefox browsers. It would seem to me that not supporting a widely used service such as Netflix would be a very big negative that Microsoft would want to fix. Yet... months go by and no fix.
Before anyone asks, I do not use third party AV. Windows has been updated since the problem appeared, and is up-to-date.

Update - the 5C release is KB5003214. This has an additional fix for the signing issue that caused the symptom investigated here.
Thanks
Arvind
KB5003214 seemed to do the trick. I was finally able after all these months to initiate a video on Netflix without getting the error message. Thank you for your help.
It was a temporary solution for me. I downloaded a october update ISO file from microsoft and did a fresh install. In my warlier installation of windows, earlier I was using the legacy version of edge. From it, I manually updated to the chromium one. Maybe that has created some glitch.
In the october update, chromium comes preinstalled. After install I allowed only driver updates to conplete. I paused windows updates for 1 month. Netflix is now working like a bo om in edge now. Also, I dint install the netflix windows 10 app. Antivirus I have reinstalled. So I think a fresh reinstall solves the problem. I am not takimg a risk by installing the windows updates at the moment. FYI, it is not coming from the edge. Coz, after update edge was version 84. Then I updated it to 90. Still, no issues.
BUT, THE BOTTOM LINE IS, EITHER A FRESH INSTALL OF THE OCTOBER UPDATE SOLVED THE ISSUE OR ELSE IT IS STEMMING FROM THE NETFLIX WINDOWS 10 APP OR WINDOES UPDATES THAT CAME AFTER OCTOBER.
KB5003173is the 5B release. I will share the KB # for 5C when it is internally available.
Thanks
Arvind
So Arvind, today Cumulative update for Windows 10 version 20H2 (KB5003173) installed on my computer, and the now understood issue with Netflix still has not been fixed. I am very angry that this problem has not been fixed. I am tired of being stonewalled!
