how to stop edge from being managed by an organization

I'm having the same problem. I have zero Edge policies. So I followed your instructions and removed all other computers from my Microsoft account. However, this did not work for me.

Anything I might be missing?

I actually found a fix. I didn't have any school or work accounts on my laptop at that time but I did in the past. Under computer settings, went to devices on my old work computer was still listed. Removed the device and I was free. Make sure any old devices and accounts are removed thst are linked to your microsoft account.

My browser says managed by an organization but my policy page is empty. I also tried to reset the browser. Any ideas?

I have discovered exactly the same situation whilst trying to enable the new "VPN" within Edge. My edge://policy page is like Sara's in that it shows no active policies but when I click on the suitcase icon beside the Secure Network toggle I'm told that it's turned off for managed browsers. Very unhappy!

Type powershell into search, then right click on Windows Powershell and "Run as administrator"

Copy/paste in the following command -> press enter:

reg delete HKCU\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge /f;reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge /f;

Ignore any error thrown as both keys likely don't exist.

Click "Reload Policies" on the edge://policy page.
