how to stop edge from being managed by an organization I don't have? Just recently starting doing this...

    in the edge policy it says Extensioninstallforcelist.

    You have probably been infected with malware. See _AW_'s reply on 29 June; I'm not sure if his script will also work for you, so I'll ask him to drop in and have a look.

    hello. my browser is being managed by an organization. in the edge policy it says Extensioninstallforcelist. i have tried everything i could and nothing worked. i cant change it and i dont know anything about electronics and i dont want to mess up my computer. please help! thank you

    I believe I have this malware, there is a strange entry on my edge://policy labeled as this:
    ["lchfbmhainfjigpghpdpgjncbciaopbe"]

    twice. I believe it was installed with something I was trying to download. Do you know of a way to get rid of it?

    I need help mine says the same thing i ran the command reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies and i said yes but it said access denied. And Microsoft edge will open n close by itself.

    Hi Kameron, download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST):

    https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/ 

    and download the following Fixlist .txt and put it in the same folder FRST is in.

    • Run FRST and press "Fix"
    • The PC will reboot to complete the fix.
