Can you download Edge Browser to a Chromebook? And if yes, how? I really appreciate your help. :-)

You can run Android apps on Chromebook so I believe you can run Microsoft Edge..

The experience would not be same as desktop, though.

    How do you do that? Is that option only available for stable build? My Chromebook is in dev mode and I tried something but it didn't work.

    I totally agree! I recently bought a newish HP Chromebox for getting things done on at home. It's an impressive machine but I don't want Google seeing everything I do, so wanted to install MS Edge... very frustrating to find that I can't download it. I'm pleased I can download some Linux apps like Thunderbird, so that I can deal with my emails as if on a desktop... most of the apps on play store seem to be mobile apps that have been tweaked only a little to deal with larger screen resolution. Same goes for some of the browesers (Firefox, Dolphin). I am using Chromium browser at the moment which is great, but little things just don't work (like the back button on my mouse... it works on Chrome, but not on the opensource Chromium version of the browser). 

    I thought at least I would be able to dual boot my machine into Linux or Chrome OS, but on this chromebox it is not possible - I have to fresh install Linux only, or have only Chrome OS. As you say - when you don't want to get bogged down in fixing things and just get work done... neither is a great option. 

    So - I'm watching this thread with interest - hopefully there is a solution soon. I wonder if MS will release Edge on Linux soon. If that happens (and they have already released a Linux version of MS Teams) then that could be the solution - then we can install Linux version of Edge via the Linux Beta mode on Chrome OS...although I think it might only support 32bit Linux apps, so thats another little hurdle to jump! Man... mighty have to sell a Kidney and buy a Mac!!

    @Microsoft please make edge available on Chrome OS. I'd like to have the full Edge experience rather than the watered down version on Google Play.

    I have a Lenovo c340 and I can install Edge from Play Store         

    I have a Lenovo c330 and cannot install Edge.

    Firefox, Opera, Dolphin, Chrome. Not Edge.
