I installed the new Secure Edge browser. Big mistake. How can I go back to the old one?

Thanks, I think. Not sure I understand your answer totally but I did stop auto update. But how do you get the good updates you need now? I was told to install the REVO Uninstaller to get rid of the new Edge and it worked.

You don't stop all updates. You run the hide update program which you chose which updates to hide. Then regular updates still happen.

Will someone please explain to me why I have to do this garbage to change back?

    1. Uninstall Chromium browser first
    2. Launch Registry Editor
    3. Visit - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate

On the right side create 32-bit dword value and name it 'Allowsxs'

Double-click and set its value data to 1.

If I wanted Chromium as a browser I would have done it myself.

Do software people make changes just to do so or it to make life miserable for the consumer.

I thought it was showing the new changes and going to give me the option. Nope. STUPID!!! Should have purchased a MacBook.

could not agree more!!! so F*&()*( lagged and locked up with this new version. why??????

It's easier to install REVO Uninstaller and follow the directions. Then go into your apps or downloads and find the little e Edge and reinstall it. It works--if I can do it--you can.
