How to Uninstall/Reinstall Edge

Edge keeps crashing in Windows 11. I have already tried quite a few troubleshooting steps suggested here and it's still not fixed. The last suggestion I received before reinstalling Windows is to reinstall Edge. (Not repair/reinstall from the Add/Remove Programs menu, I've already tried that). I did this but it doesn't look like it worked. When I opened Edge after the reinstall all my tabs re-opened and I just don't think the reinstall worked correctly. Is there a way to uninstall Edge completely and then reinstall it? The option is grayed out in the Remove programs menu.

    I am afraid edge would not uninstall using this solution.

    Hi Hahn -

    that was really useful information and I followed all of the above steps. Actually again, because I tried all that before, as described on another webpage (your information was much better written though, thank you!). I even tried to delete the directories in Safe Mode and all kinds of -to the average user- crazy ****. Can you believe it though nothing works, and I mean absolutely nothing. For example, I follow all your steps precisely, and nothing happens, command went through without result so to speak. Nothing comes up that it might be the wrong command, that or why it doesn't want to do it, etc. All files are still there exactly as before. I don't understand! I am at this stage completely done. Why does there seem to be absolutely nothing I can do to get rid of this completly faulty as in not working program?? My aim is not even to remove it permanently but simply to have a wipe and fresh install as I'd like to keep using it 🤷‍♀️

    I hope I can get an answer, thank you very much

    thanks for that, I had found this one before as well actually and guess what no it didn't do a single thing for me either! 🤯

    I have definitely run completely out of options now as it seems grrrrr
