E Tree points and ranking not syncing up between mobile and desktop.

Hi guys, Ive been participating in the Microsoft weather E Tree program for quite a while now and i've just noticed that my points and rank arent synced up between my mobile weather app and my desktop edge browser webpage. Ive just broken into the top 50 and yet my name doesnt appear in the top 50 list. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Matt710,

As per Anonkj's reply, the thread that talks about hacking and some more information on the web, following possibilities:

  1. Microsoft has stopped the program but not yet removed it - may come back with revamped version
  2. The hacking that happened in ranking caused Microsoft to freeze the last correct rank list. - So your present rank of 13 is against the frozen rank list and not the real updated scenario. My rank is 12 as of today. Once Microsoft allows the current actual rank list to be visible and updated again - we'll get our real rank and that may be much below 50 (I feel).
  3. There is some bug in the program and Microsoft is yet to correct it.

Hope they at least plant the trees that we all have virtually grown.

    Thanks for the confirmation Anonkj and Matt710.

    @Anonkj. I can see your name in the list but there is a slight difference in energy points. Below is the screenshot of few seconds back Your screenshot had 819870 and I can see 817300.

    @Matt710 How much energy points are you able to get from MSN weather daily (just to know how much am I missing everyday 😢) and what is the daily streak bonus?

    The person at No. 22 in list has 22 trees but if we see energy points then his ranking is correct.

    My points in the ranking table is never instantly updated. It might get updated later in the day or tomorrow. Daily streak bonus is the 500 extra points you get daily for just checking in. You can see it above the daily tasks. From MSN weather app it is 500 (after 7 days) + 60 daily tasks

    On my android msn weather app i'm able to complete the two daily tasks and get the 60 points awarded, my problem now is i'm always on a one day streak so i'm only getting 50 points for logging on each day instead of the 500 which you should get after a 7 day streak, so a loss of 450 points each day. Has anyone else noticed if you level up from 9 to 10 and plant a tree via the edge sidebar you are awarded 5000 points, but if you plant the tree just through the browser page you are only awarded 1000 points. Seems a bit odd .

    I presume Microsoft are doing this to encourage people to use the sidebar, but i could be wrong.

    Thanks for the replies to both of you.

    As my MSN Weather app (Both desktop and Mobile) does not show link for E-tree, I'm without those points. So I'm looing 560 each day or 110 ( if the login is getting reset).

    @Matt710, you can plant the tree though sidebar to get 5000 but before adding anymore energy to it, open it in edge and you can get 1000 there too so 600 for every new plant.
