E Tree points and ranking not syncing up between mobile and desktop.

Hi guys, Ive been participating in the Microsoft weather E Tree program for quite a while now and i've just noticed that my points and rank arent synced up between my mobile weather app and my desktop edge browser webpage. Ive just broken into the top 50 and yet my name doesnt appear in the top 50 list. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Matt710,

As per Anonkj's reply, the thread that talks about hacking and some more information on the web, following possibilities:

  1. Microsoft has stopped the program but not yet removed it - may come back with revamped version
  2. The hacking that happened in ranking caused Microsoft to freeze the last correct rank list. - So your present rank of 13 is against the frozen rank list and not the real updated scenario. My rank is 12 as of today. Once Microsoft allows the current actual rank list to be visible and updated again - we'll get our real rank and that may be much below 50 (I feel).
  3. There is some bug in the program and Microsoft is yet to correct it.

Hope they at least plant the trees that we all have virtually grown.

    Hi Anonkj, Thanks for the information, it doesn't explain though why i'm not listed in the top 50 though. I'm ranked 13th now according to edge on my desktop with 647300 and 65 trees planted.

    Someone had hacked the program few weeks ago. There is a thread about it

    After this issue was resolved, after couple of days, although we are able to complete daily tasks and get trees, it stopped syncing in the rankings table I think for everyone taking part. Maybe its a bug or something else, I am not sure.

    Hi Mohit Kumar, Thanks for the information you have supplied. Its interesting you have said the program has been stopped, im still able to complete the daily tasks and the points are added accordingly on both desktop and mobile, is this not the same for you?

    Yes I'm able to complete daily tasks and all activities are going as they are supposed to other than ranking list getting updated.

    My options were based on reply from Anonkj as well some other threads on internet

    All the options I gave are assumptions based on available data and observations.

    I don't think Mohit Kumar has said that the program has been stopped. He is talking about a possibility that it might have stopped. I am able to finish my daily tasks and get points which are being reflected both on mobile and desktop.
