E Tree points and ranking not syncing up between mobile and desktop.

Hi guys, Ive been participating in the Microsoft weather E Tree program for quite a while now and i've just noticed that my points and rank arent synced up between my mobile weather app and my desktop edge browser webpage. Ive just broken into the top 50 and yet my name doesnt appear in the top 50 list. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Matt710,

As per Anonkj's reply, the thread that talks about hacking and some more information on the web, following possibilities:

  1. Microsoft has stopped the program but not yet removed it - may come back with revamped version
  2. The hacking that happened in ranking caused Microsoft to freeze the last correct rank list. - So your present rank of 13 is against the frozen rank list and not the real updated scenario. My rank is 12 as of today. Once Microsoft allows the current actual rank list to be visible and updated again - we'll get our real rank and that may be much below 50 (I feel).
  3. There is some bug in the program and Microsoft is yet to correct it.

Hope they at least plant the trees that we all have virtually grown.

    For me, app got reset once last week when I didn't complete daily tasks in the browser and went on to open the app. It doesn't matter what time of day it is for me though. If it wants to get reset it will get reset. Lots of people seem to be losing interest and have stopped playing.

    Hi Peeps,

    Hope everyone is doing well, ive had a couple of busy weeks so only just catching up on email messages. As far as points go, i'm still occasionally having my daily bonus reset to day 1 on the android weather app. I no longer get the 5000 points for the sidebar as that looks like there should be 10 levels and yet after level 6 on the android app its say congrats on planting your tree. I then go back to the browser and are able to get 1000 points for planting the tree there too, and start over as usual. I am able to get the 600 points for 8am 12pm and 4pm. Is anyone else experiencing this as well?

    Good to hear from you.

    all the points activities are going same as you described.

    • android app getting reset for reason it only knows.
    • 5000 of sidebar not getting triggered
    • 1000 of browser available for new tree
    • new tree achievable at 10k by android app else 50k on edge and sidebar
    • 600 of 8,12 & 4pm working.

    So effectively around 2k-2.5k per day + 1k of new tree from browser = one tree every 4 days @ 10k

    Few "less tree more point" accounts have disappeared from rank list and mostly look genuine accounts now. This brought you from 45 to 39/40.

    Tree count is all messed up. people "one or two rank above" may have a tree less or "people one or two rank below" may have a tree more. But more or less its consistent. Anonkj at 19/20. myself at 38/39 and you at 39/40.

    Hope you are all doing well. I wonder how the person ranked no. 2 currently went from 147 trees yesterday to 150 today. He must have got around 30k points today for that to happen?
