E Tree points and ranking not syncing up between mobile and desktop.

Hi guys, Ive been participating in the Microsoft weather E Tree program for quite a while now and i've just noticed that my points and rank arent synced up between my mobile weather app and my desktop edge browser webpage. Ive just broken into the top 50 and yet my name doesnt appear in the top 50 list. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Matt710,

As per Anonkj's reply, the thread that talks about hacking and some more information on the web, following possibilities:

  1. Microsoft has stopped the program but not yet removed it - may come back with revamped version
  2. The hacking that happened in ranking caused Microsoft to freeze the last correct rank list. - So your present rank of 13 is against the frozen rank list and not the real updated scenario. My rank is 12 as of today. Once Microsoft allows the current actual rank list to be visible and updated again - we'll get our real rank and that may be much below 50 (I feel).
  3. There is some bug in the program and Microsoft is yet to correct it.

Hope they at least plant the trees that we all have virtually grown.

    I'm not sure what special are you people doing!

    You two are getting points faster (or so it seems).
    I've not found any way to get 5000 bonus back from sidebar as the tree is getting completed at 10k only from mobile app.
    I even tried installing the nightly build of Edge to get latest version but no change.

    It's taking around 4 days to get one tree as of now.

    I was wondering the same about you both. @Matt710 seems to have gained a good few places in ranking yesterday. Sidebar is still not giving extra 5k points. To plant a single tree still shows 50k, only through what you said I get extra 1000. My app also got reset twice in past week. On top of that daily task includes severe weather which is not working since past 3 days, so 30*3 lost there as well. The app and browser all seem to be the latest version.

    I don't think anyone is getting the extra 5k though. Maybe Microsoft have slowed down the rate as everyone used to get a tree in 2 days due to this.

    some people seem to have dropped off between me and Matt710.
    I once collected the mobile app points after 4pm and it got reset next day. So now I do that right in the morning itself.
    Severe weather gave me trouble too for 2 days but today it was not there but news and explore map tasks.
