Hi guys, Ive been participating in the Microsoft weather E Tree program for quite a while now and i've just noticed that my points and rank arent synced up between my mobile weather app and my desktop edge browser webpage. Ive just broken into the top 50 and yet my name doesnt appear in the top 50 list. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Matt710,
As per Anonkj's reply, the thread that talks about hacking and some more information on the web, following possibilities:
Hope they at least plant the trees that we all have virtually grown.

People with less number of trees and so many points keep popping up, there are 4 of them in top 50 now. What do they get out of it is beyond me.
Pathetic isn't it. Microsoft will boot them after a few days by the look of it, but its frustrating for those who put the time and effort in.
True.
Even after going through daily drill diligently, every morning I'm one rank down just because a new "low tree count - high points" ID is there.
Hi Matt,
I had some issues with the E-tree program and came across this thread.
The issue with Mobile App showing 10K extra points comes from Christmas Virtual Tree. Considering your habit of gathering all possible points, which has gotten you up the ranking ladder; I assume you also planted the special Christmas E-tree by collecting all the ornaments. Since, that tree didn't require the daily points gatherings; the mobile app counts that tree the same as others. So it counts 53 trees planted thus 537180 points. But the desktop/web version counts the points that you have gathered, which is indeed 52718.
Hope this helps; also, if you have any information regarding how the leaderboard has become so wonky with points and number of trees jumping by as much as 10-20k, I would appreciate sharing it.
Cheers,
Arash
