E Tree points and ranking not syncing up between mobile and desktop.

Hi guys, Ive been participating in the Microsoft weather E Tree program for quite a while now and i've just noticed that my points and rank arent synced up between my mobile weather app and my desktop edge browser webpage. Ive just broken into the top 50 and yet my name doesnt appear in the top 50 list. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Matt710,

As per Anonkj's reply, the thread that talks about hacking and some more information on the web, following possibilities:

  1. Microsoft has stopped the program but not yet removed it - may come back with revamped version
  2. The hacking that happened in ranking caused Microsoft to freeze the last correct rank list. - So your present rank of 13 is against the frozen rank list and not the real updated scenario. My rank is 12 as of today. Once Microsoft allows the current actual rank list to be visible and updated again - we'll get our real rank and that may be much below 50 (I feel).
  3. There is some bug in the program and Microsoft is yet to correct it.

Hope they at least plant the trees that we all have virtually grown.

    Start news, Bing app and Weather app leads to this same screen for me as well. It does not give points multiplied by 3, do in any 1 and all are done. Maximum points I used to get was around 8000 a day through the app, sidebar and browser. Sidebar gives 5000 for planting a new tree and refreshing browser at same time gives extra 1000. So like @Mohit Kumar said 6000 for each new tree.

    The e tree doesn't appear on my desktop msn weather app either, just edge browser, sidebar and android. I am able to access the e tree program on the android Bing app and through the Start news app, as well as the stand alone msn weather app, so three ways in total on android.

    Thanks for the replies to both of you.

    As my MSN Weather app (Both desktop and Mobile) does not show link for E-tree, I'm without those points. So I'm looing 560 each day or 110 ( if the login is getting reset).

    @Matt710, you can plant the tree though sidebar to get 5000 but before adding anymore energy to it, open it in edge and you can get 1000 there too so 600 for every new plant.
