E Tree points and ranking not syncing up between mobile and desktop.

Hi guys, Ive been participating in the Microsoft weather E Tree program for quite a while now and i've just noticed that my points and rank arent synced up between my mobile weather app and my desktop edge browser webpage. Ive just broken into the top 50 and yet my name doesnt appear in the top 50 list. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Matt710,

As per Anonkj's reply, the thread that talks about hacking and some more information on the web, following possibilities:

  1. Microsoft has stopped the program but not yet removed it - may come back with revamped version
  2. The hacking that happened in ranking caused Microsoft to freeze the last correct rank list. - So your present rank of 13 is against the frozen rank list and not the real updated scenario. My rank is 12 as of today. Once Microsoft allows the current actual rank list to be visible and updated again - we'll get our real rank and that may be much below 50 (I feel).
  3. There is some bug in the program and Microsoft is yet to correct it.

Hope they at least plant the trees that we all have virtually grown.

    I will know that after few days only. I need 4 more days for app to go up to 500 daily points and 6 more days for sidebar as long as it doesn't get reset again.

    Some people have lost their entire tree and points collection just by clicking on the e tree icon. As long as that doesn't happen, and it does not require 50,000 for a single tree, sacrificing 200 points should be fine.

    It is true that lower ranked player will never be able to catch up unless someone in the top stops playing which is not how any program should work.

    You getting 4pm energy maybe because daily streak on mobile app is not yet 500. 4 pm stopped working for me last time when I reached 500 and started when I lost my daily streak. I'll come to know the real cause in next two days - maybe Microsoft has fixed it.

    I've also read in other threads about 50,000 pints for one tree. But doing it random will mean the player with lower rating will never be able to catch up now as the bonus of 1000+500 will only come after every 22/23 days.

    I have been travelling so didn't have access to my laptop only my phone. So I lost my streak from sidebar. Yesterday though, I couldn't collect the 8am points but at 4pm I finally got it. I might have opened the app (already forgot when I did it) after 4 as well as my streak was reset on it.

    It happened once before since they started blocking 4pm points, I couldn't collect 12pm points but could get 4pm one. Maybe out of 3, they are blocking one.

    I had very little points to get for my next tree so I got it yesterday like normal (except for the 5000 points from sidebar 😔). However, in the other thread about the hacking, other players are saying they need 50,000 points as well.
