E Tree points and ranking not syncing up between mobile and desktop.

Hi guys, Ive been participating in the Microsoft weather E Tree program for quite a while now and i've just noticed that my points and rank arent synced up between my mobile weather app and my desktop edge browser webpage. Ive just broken into the top 50 and yet my name doesnt appear in the top 50 list. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Matt710,

As per Anonkj's reply, the thread that talks about hacking and some more information on the web, following possibilities:

  1. Microsoft has stopped the program but not yet removed it - may come back with revamped version
  2. The hacking that happened in ranking caused Microsoft to freeze the last correct rank list. - So your present rank of 13 is against the frozen rank list and not the real updated scenario. My rank is 12 as of today. Once Microsoft allows the current actual rank list to be visible and updated again - we'll get our real rank and that may be much below 50 (I feel).
  3. There is some bug in the program and Microsoft is yet to correct it.

Hope they at least plant the trees that we all have virtually grown.

    Does it show 10000 on the app still? For me it is 10000 on the app but 50000 on desktop and sidebar. If it is indeed 50000 then it is better to stop playing. There are better apps which plants 1 tree in 1 day at different locations and only requires about 30 seconds of our time each day. The time required to get 50000 points is really not worth it.

    I agree! Same thing: 50,000 for an e-tree! It is demotivating and confusing.

    It has got more confusing.

    Today on desktop I collected all points as usual including 8am bubble and sidebar 590. Total for the tree was around 12k something with Level 6.
    Then I opened mobile app and it said - you have reached Level 10 so plant a new tree. It automatically gave me 2k something ( balace above 10K) to new tree and added its 500 +60.

    Then I opened the bubble on desktop - it said to plant a new tree and gave 1000 for the same.

    So I have now 2k something of last tree + 1000 +560 = 3990. Also, it again shows that I need to collect 50k for completing the tree.

    A new tree got planted but lost the 5k of sidebar and confusion prevails.

    Yes sacrificing 200 points is ok.

    But 50,000 for one tree will make newcomer loose interest very quickly.

    my mobile app streak will become 7 days tomorrow so let's see.
