E Tree points and ranking not syncing up between mobile and desktop.

Hi guys, Ive been participating in the Microsoft weather E Tree program for quite a while now and i've just noticed that my points and rank arent synced up between my mobile weather app and my desktop edge browser webpage. Ive just broken into the top 50 and yet my name doesnt appear in the top 50 list. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Matt710,

As per Anonkj's reply, the thread that talks about hacking and some more information on the web, following possibilities:

  1. Microsoft has stopped the program but not yet removed it - may come back with revamped version
  2. The hacking that happened in ranking caused Microsoft to freeze the last correct rank list. - So your present rank of 13 is against the frozen rank list and not the real updated scenario. My rank is 12 as of today. Once Microsoft allows the current actual rank list to be visible and updated again - we'll get our real rank and that may be much below 50 (I feel).
  3. There is some bug in the program and Microsoft is yet to correct it.

Hope they at least plant the trees that we all have virtually grown.

    Hi Bijou & SR,

    Apologies for confusing and interchanging the names.

    @Annonkj(SR),

    I have been using mobile app through Bing only. So I click the Bing app Icon and choose the weather tile to open the weather app/page. The partially hidden circle on top right gives access to E-Tree. I also have 10k more there compared to edge. How DO I use that 10k to plant trees as you mentioned?

    My daily streaks are going well in all three places. No reset for quite some months now (73 mobile, 95 sidebar and 426 edge). I did miss daily bonus once. So, loss of 200 only.
    Not sure what's happening.
    Still going on and going strong 🙂

    Hi Mohit

    As far as im aware the only i can catch up with you is if you miss a daily time bonus of 200 points or your daily streak bonus of 500 is reset. Is there anyway you could record your screen when you complete the tasks and upload it to onedrive or another cloud storage so we could see if you are missing out on anything. Just confirming i am Bijou not SR.

    Hi Mohit,

    I think you got it the other way round. SR is Anonkj and Matt is Bijou. I wasn't using sidebar or app for more than a month, just logging in to the browser for daily 500 and sometimes for the timed ones if I remembered. When I came back, weather app didn't allow me to login at all. So, I use bing now and it hasn't been reset even once.

    Also, since I had more than 10000 as per bing, whatever excess I had at that point, it planted all those trees and also I guess gave 1000 for each tree, although I don't exactly remember how many.

    Every day, I get either 2580, 2640 or 2720 (Level 5+6) depending on which level I am just like you said, if I get a new tree add 1k to it.

    I am not aware of how other people get 6k or more points sometimes. Just yesterday, the person above me Marius got 7k and a new tree even though they got a new tree on 8th. Even the 1st ranked person gets 6k sometimes.

    Hi Matt710 and Anonkj,

    Hope you guys are doing well.

    It seems that I'm missing out some new ways to collect energy points. Please help.

    Around Mid-September, Matt710 was 1700 more and Anonkj was 1500 less than me.

    ,

    Then it felt like both of you were gathering more energy per day somehow and it became visually clear today when Anonkj has gone one rank above me. Difference between you two is still 4700 though.

    What am I missing?

    • Same 2600 or so every day
    • when first 0-5000 stage then daily talk in browser are only worth 60 instead of 140.
