Microsoft Edge on Mac crashes

I recently heard about the Microsoft Edge available on Mac and decided to try it out, so I downloaded on the website and follow the instructions. But once it's installed, the app pops like like any other Mac apps, but it instantly crashed and closed by itself, even with several times of reinstalling. Is there anything I could do to fix this? Like something needed to change in the settings?

    Hello Microsoft Edge community!

    I'm from the Microsoft Edge team and thanks all for reporting the issue!  It seems like the original issue was resolved by downloading the latest builds on any browser.  Please let me know if you're still able to repro the issue and we'll investigate what's going on.

    I've just got the problem. I'm afraid gonna lose my bookmarks as well. It does nothing at all.

    After retry by downloading new installer and install on top of existing Edge but no luck, i restarted my Mac and now it works

    Yes, apparently a restart does the trick. If I only had thought of that before uninstalling Edge... :-D

    Fortunately, I had enabled sync and therefore, I was able to retrieve the latest working configuration.

    This just started happening today. I downloaded from Safari, didn't work. I then removed all files from my ~Library and below and still it open with the "Cannot open this page" error. I cannot access settings as it attempts to open a page and that page also displays the same error. Any help is greatly appreciated.
