Microsoft Edge on Mac crashes

I recently heard about the Microsoft Edge available on Mac and decided to try it out, so I downloaded on the website and follow the instructions. But once it's installed, the app pops like like any other Mac apps, but it instantly crashed and closed by itself, even with several times of reinstalling. Is there anything I could do to fix this? Like something needed to change in the settings?

    Unfortunately that did not work for me.  

    When I open Edge, it just immediately crashes on my MAC running Catalina.

    Problem solved: 

    Download and reinstall the Microsoft Edge from Safari instead. Other browsers won't work.

    This is the same for me- trying to download Edge on my iMac (late 2013 model) and it downloads, but upon opening the app, it immediately crashes.  No solution from MS?

    Same issue for me. Happens in iMac. Tried to restart, reinstall, redownload, reeverything. Simply doesn't work :D

    This worked for me.. very strange!  I was downloading it from Chrome.
