The new Edge browser will occasionally freeze. When this happens there is no screen control and ending the Edge process using the task manager closes the browser window bur does not release all the resources forcing me to restart the PC. This can happen on a webpage or when watching videos. Is this a known problem and has anyone else experienced this and found a solution? I am running Windows 10 with the 2004 update installed, have no problems with other applications and no freezing when using Firefox or Chrome

I'm glad you fixed the problem of edge freezing but I missed the part where you explained how you fixed it? If the instructions are not too complicated could you please give them to us. Thank you
Exactly, I did this 2 weeks ago and it fixed the problem, but it came again, and I did the same fix and it works againg.
Hope they fix this for good or I am back to FireFox, basicaly I use 3 browsers.
it happen opening the Microsoft support also what I do is close it and go to history to reload the pages that freeze but I can't wait to go to school with that if its not fix probably gonna switch to chrome

also its happening to me only when im on battery and a have nothing else than chrome open
I'm using an AMD FX-9370 CPU, with an AsRock 990FX motherboard, 16GB RAM, on Windows 22H2, using version 108.0.1462.54 of Edge, and it also randomly freezes up the computer. If I wait long enough, it will usually unfreeze and I can regain control of the system. I haven't tried anything to fix it yet but will report back if something changes to fix it.
