Has Microsoft E-Tree Been Exploited?

See, for me it's now 20,000 per tree (so basically the points have doubled).

The fact it's so wildly different for everyone implies that something is wrong with the app as well as whatever server issue caused the mass reset for a lot of people.

I've tried contacting rewards about the reset (though the points thing is also very odd) and haven't heard back in over a week. Also contacted the live chat and they're trying to get it resolved too (they didn't seem to know it had happened but I'm sure I'm not the only person who has reported this). So I guess we just need to keep contacting support and feedback directly and showing that it's affecting multiple people?

My situation is that it is 50,000 points per tree on desktop and e-Tree sidebar however it's still 10,000 on mobile apps (iOS - Bing & Start). Have to time reaching 10,000 to occur on either iOS app. Desktop then rewards with a 1,000 for planting a new tree but not now getting the 5,000 bonus for a new tree on the e-Tree sidebar, assume I'd need to hang out until 50,000 for that to activate...

Now found that e-Tree sidebar has disappeared on all devices but I can still access it as a webpage on Edge by typing "edge://etree/?sharedHeader=1". Also, I've found I don't need to time points to hit 10,000 on iOS app to be awarded a tree (whether they are actually being planted or not, who knows?).

I used to be able to access the etree from my iphone by using edge app and going to the desktop version. For weeks now no matter what version I use, I cannot get the etree on my phone. I know that they say there isn't a mobile version for iphone, but desktop view has always worked in the past as long as I was signed in. This happened before and somehow I was able to get it back clearing cache but nothing works this time. I can only access via computer. I've even tried going to the website on my kindle(kindle doesn't offer msnweather app) and signing in but etree doesn't show.

People on top of the leaderboard, are still planting a tree every 3 days. Very annoying cause for me, playing daily... it takes weeks with the new rules. Are they doing something illegal?? Today is June 14th 2023, and I am based in Europe, Spain.
