Has Microsoft E-Tree Been Exploited?

A handful of new users jumped to the top of the leaderboard with round-number points in the millions. Disconcerting to legitimate and dedicated users. Suspicious and conspicuous. Current number 6, Yggdrasil, was in clear first place, at least for the last few months.

    This is the sidebar icon not the MS weather on taskbar?

    I have the same problem on one pc but works on another... saying..

    Hmmm… can't reach this page

    It looks like the webpage at edge://etree/?sharedHeader=1 might be having issues or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

    ERR_INVALID_URL

    I've logged in and out, tried resetting to defaults, still no luck.

    I'll update if i find a workround

    Do you still have access? E-tree stopped working 2 days ago for me: Now it only says Can;'t reach this page. (Invalid URL)

    Yes I have had this same problem for the last 3 days although today it allowed me to claim them. I also noted that if you had any other unclaimed points it wouldn't allow them to be claimed either once you attempted to claim the last 200 points of the day. As if you were being blocked to adding any more points. I think this maybe a very random error as my partner was not seeing the same error when collecting their own points. On a second note I did also observe over the last week when you claimed the 3 daily 200 points it was actually crediting you with 500 points each time eg a total of 1500 rather than 600 points each day (not that I was complaining). My partner also saw the same enhanced "feature" each day too. This has now reverted back to 200 points , shame :(

    Anyone having the problem of not receiving the last 200 points of the day 16:00pm to 18:00? It started yesterday, and it has not affected daily streak.

    I'm losing points to help the project :(

    If you are using Edge, there is a sidebar you can add for E-tree. There are additional tasks there you can do and get points. In addition, if you use the sidebar when you are finishing a tree, the sidebar gives you a bonus of 100 points per tree you have. It seems like the bonus is capped at 5000 points. I imagine that's how the leaderboard is staying so far ahead. If you get 5000 points for each tree you complete, you are already halfway to getting the next tree.

    The jump in rating seems to be due to the leaderboard not updating for 6 weeks or so.
